Craig W. Stewart joined the Law Firm of Laura Margulies & Associates, LLC., as an associate attorney on June 6, 2016. He began his legal career in 1989 as a paralegal to the firm of Garner & Walls where he worked on the firm’s criminal defense, family law, personal injury, and bankruptcy cases. He gained extensive knowledge with both the District and Circuit Court procedures in that role.
In 1996, he attended law school at Widener University in Harrisburg, PA and graduated in 1999. He sat and passed the Maryland Bar Exam in 2001, and began practicing bankruptcy law with the firm of Garza and Regan in Rockville, Maryland. In 2002, he became partners with Andrew G. Wilson, III, in Annapolis, Maryland where he handled a voluminous practice of Chapter 7 and 13 cases in both Greenbelt and Baltimore.
In 2004, he opened his own practice with an office in Temple Hills, Maryland. That practice consisted of primarily consumer bankruptcy, but he handles personal injury, worker’s compensation, wills, and some misdemeanor criminal defense matters. Over time, he has filed over 1,000 consumer cases. He has attended various seminars both nationally and locally to remain current on the law of bankruptcy. His attention to detail is what clients admire most about him. He is happily married to his wife, and they have two active baseball players ages 9 and 11 and reside in Poolesville, Maryland.
